This conference brought together representatives from over 70 key enterprises in the province, aiming to respond to the new changes in international trade and explore new paths for high-quality development in the industry. Li Yanqing, a first-level inspector of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province, attended the meeting and provided guidance. Business representatives respectively reflected development demands, shared practical experiences, and put forward opinions and suggestions on the impact of tariff barriers, strategies for responding to trade wars, and promoting high-quality development of the industry. Under the impact of the US "reciprocal tariff" policy, the cost pressure on enterprises has soared, their international competitiveness has weakened, and the stability of their supply chains has been impacted. Currently, enterprises are avoiding risks by accelerating the diversified layout of their supply chains, enhancing the added value and brand power of their products, and planning trade routes in advance. It is hoped that the government, industry associations, and enterprises will work together By reducing burdens at the policy end, concentrating efforts at the industry end, and transforming enterprises at the enterprise end, we will jointly build a more resilient clothing industry ecosystem.


Professor Yang Dayun conducted an in-depth analysis of the latest trends, potential purposes and impact on the textile and garment industry of the United States' tariff policy. He pointed out that "consumption stratification" is the most prominent behavioral feature of China's consumer market in the new economic cycle. However, "stratification" itself does not equate to a simple "downgrading", but rather reflects the iteration and transformation of the consumption structure at the societal level. The influence of "emotional value" on China's retail business market today has been continuously elevated to a level comparable to the "practical value" of commodities.


Li Yanqing pointed out that the textile and garment industry has always been a traditional pillar industry and an important livelihood industry in Henan. The textile and garment industry is currently in a critical period of transformation and upgrading. At present, the state has introduced a series of strategies to stimulate consumption and expand domestic demand. Textile and garment enterprises should actively integrate into the consumer market, study economic policies and the laws of economic development. The provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, as the leading unit of the textile and garment industry chain, will actively integrate cultural tourism and textile and garment resources, study the hierarchical and stratified consumption market, explore scenario-based consumption demands, design personalized clothing based on different consumption scenarios, and actively apply AI technology to seek impetus from innovation, premium from brands, and efficiency from collaboration. Carry out activities such as key enterprises of clothing and apparel entering scenic spots, exchanges on the development of Hanfu industry, bank-enterprise connection and special promotion of the textile and apparel industry chain, to achieve a mutual pursuit between textile and apparel and cultural tourism.
